Welcome to Southern Alps Ski Club and Lodge Co-Operative Ltd website

SASC is one of the oldest and largest ski Clubs in Australia and was established in 1935 by a group of enthusiastic skiers and has been a long term supporter of the development of snow sports and can boast to having produced members who have represented Australia at World Championship events and as Olympic Skiers. SASC is a friendly family orientated organisation with active sub-committees catering to members needs follow SKI CLUB tab above for details.

SASC Lodge Co-Operative Limited was formed in 1963 by visionary members of SASC who saw the need to have a SASC home in the snow, Southern Alps Lodge at Charlotte Pass was built by the Co-Op and opened in 1965, Christiania Lodge at Thredbo was purchased in 1968 and Kahane Lodge at Perisher was purchased in 1976. All lodges have been extended and renovated to suit member requirements.

NSW Snowsports

 NSW Snowsports has loads of information on its website that may be of interest to SASC members.

There are training programs for all snowsports diciplines.

The Australian Rollerski Championships are being held in Canberra on the weekend of April 14 and 15

Lodge shares for purchase.

Opportunity exists to purchase a share in the Southern Alps Ski Club Lodge Co-Operative which entitles the shareholder to take advantage of lower lodge tariffs and the earlier booking periods, other benefits are explained on the Membership page.

4th Perisher Music Festival

                

June long weekend 8-11 June
Kick off the season with a variety of Australian and World, folk, roots, Celtic, blues, acoustic and traditional music, song, dance, poetry and yarnspinning.
Festival only tickets discounted to $120 for 3 days entertainment if purchased by Monday 30 April 2012 (saves $30 per ticket). Free entry for children under 14.
