There are two types of memberships, Club Membership and Lodge Co-Op Membership.See the members benefits listed below
Club Membership
Membership to Southern Alps Ski club Inc is open for new members who have been nominated and seconded by existing financial members of the club. See Memberships Benefits listed below.
Current membership fees are:

The new member applications must be accompanied by:
- Completed membership application form (available from the secretary)
- Letter of recommendation from the proposer
- Cheque to cover applicable fees

Lodge Co-Op Membership
Southern Alps Ski Club Lodge Co Operative Limited has 903 share holdings.
Shares can be transferred between family members with Board approval, occasionally shareholders redeem their shares which are then offered to SASC members who have registered for the lodge member waiting list.
Please contact The Lodge Secretary if you require information or to have you name added to the Lodge Shareholder waiting list.

Southern Alps has Lodge, Club and Temporary membership categories,
Lodge Shareholders
- Shareholders of Southern Alps Ski Club Lodge Cooperative Limited which own and operates the Southern Alps, Kahane and Christiania ski lodges.
- Must be “single” or “family” financial member of Southern Alps Ski Club.
- Entitled to book SASC Lodge accommodation after the Lodge member booking opening dates shown on tariff sheet.
- “Single” club member and one associate is entitled to SASC Lodge member rates
- “Family” club member, one associate and members listed children are eligible for SASC Lodge member rates.
- Eligible attend “open” Lodge meetings usually 5 per year.
- Eligible to attend and vote at SASC Lodge AGM.
- Eligible for election to the SASC Lodge Co Op Board of Directors
- Half share with Southern Alps Ski Club in a share holding in Ben Ricketts Environmental Preserve.
Club Members
- Entitled to book SASC Lodge accommodation after the Club member booking opening dates shown on tariff sheet.
- “Single” club member is entitled to SASC Club member rates
- “Family” club member, one associate and the members listed children are eligible for SASC Club member rates.
- Receive four SASC newsletters annually
- Eligible attend SASC meetings usually 5 per year.
- Eligible to attend and vote at SASC AGM.
- Eligible for election to the SASC committee
- Eligible to participate in SASC subcommittee (link to calendar page 21) events
- Half share with Southern Alps Ski Club Lodge Co-Op in a share holding in Ben Ricketts Environmental Preserve.
Temporary Members
- SASC Lodge guests that are not Lodge or Club members
- Entitled to book SASC Lodge accommodation from the Temporary member booking opening dates shown on tariff sheet.
- Entitled to SASC Temporary member rates
